As a rookie in the fashion world, a gathering with other experienced fashion people is a new kind of experience! Michal Portman, aka Matryoshka, invited me and few other fashion friends to a new fashion shop that she really likes. In my opinion it’s a shopping place that could suit most of us.
Legends– just reading the name makes you want to explore the place. From the first moment you entre you can see the bright and colorful items, which are emphasized by the calm background decor – the design of the place reminds me a bit of some boutiques I saw in NYC and Toronto. When inside you can’t miss Mayas’ nice and welcoming personality- later she turned to be very sharp and observant person who knows to offer you just what you look for. For me the staff is equally important as the merchandise (I find the teenage staff in the fast fashion chains irritating).
After a long experience in making and importing fashion, the Elkanyan brothers decided to open a concept shop in a business area in Ramat Hachayal. Hezi one of the brothers) told us that some of the items are manufactured in the east and some are imported from Europe, they believe in immortal basic and trendy items made from high quality materials which are fitted for the Israeli consumer. The fabrics are loose and comfy and you barley feel it on the skin, for me most of the items in the shop are basic and daily and not expansive at all- an important factor for students like me!
כבלוגרית די חדשה בעולם האופנה, מפגש עם אנשי אופנה בעלי ותק בתחום הוא בהחלט סוג חדש של חוויה מבחינתי! מיכל פורטמן, הידועה בשם Matryoshka, הזמינה אותי ועוד כמה חברים להכיר חנות שהיא מאד אוהבת, חנות שלטעמי תתאים לרבים מאיתנו (וגם לכיסים שלנו).
Legends– רק מהשם נוצרת תחושה של רצון להיכנס ולבדוק מה יש שם, מיד בכניסה יש זריקת אור וצבע של הבגדים על רקע רגוע בעיצוב שמעצים את הפריטים עצמם ולא מושך את תשומת הלב. החנות מסודרת באופן אסטטי ומזכירה לי קצת בוטיקים בניו יורק וטורונטו. כאשר בפנים אי אפשר שלא להיעצר על האישיות המזמינה והנעימה של מאיה- מבחינתי הצוות חשוב כמו הסחורה- יחס טוב, שירותיות והבנה באופנה הם חלק ממה שהמקום מוכר (בחנויות רשת אני נעזרת בצוות רק אם אני לא מוצאת את המידה ותו לא)
לאחר ניסיון רב של ייבוא וייצור אופנה האחים אלקניאן החליטו לפתוח חנות עם קונספט שתקרוץ לרבים ולהביא אופנה ללב ליבו של אזור משרדי ברמת החייל. חזי (אחד האחים) סיפר שהפריטים מיוצרים ומיובאים בחלקם מאירופה ובחלקם מהמזרח- הם דוגלים בבייסיק אלמותי ואיכותי שמותאם לצרכנים והאופנה הישראלית לצד פריטים טרנדיים. הבדים נשפכים, נושמים ונעימים למגע, לטעמי הפריטים הם יותר יומיומיים ובסייסים (עם מספר דגמים קצת יותר חגיגיים)- חשוב לי לציין שכסטודנטית החנות הזאת תתאים לרבות כמוני- כיוון שהשיקול הכלכלי הוא חלק בלתי נפרד מהמשוואה.
I came back home with a pair of flats in 2 pastel colors that are very comfortable and match almost every outfit. Unlike a lot of flats I tried they weren’t smelly after a long, hot day, unfortunately they made out of very delicate materials so they barely survived one season (although I must admit I wore them almost every day)
חזרתי הביתה עם זוג נעלי סירה ב-2 צבעי פסטל עדינים, וגיליתי שהן נוחות מאד ומתאימות כמעט לכל אאוטפיט, בניגוד לנעלי סירה רבות שנתקלתי הן לא מדיפות ריחות מפחידים לאחר נעילה ארוכת טווח ביום חם במיוחד- עובדה חשובה מאד לנועלת נעלי סירה ובובה סדרתי שכמותי. לצערי הרב הן עשויות מחומרים ותפירה מאד עדינים והן שרדו רק עונה אחת (יאמר לזכותן לבשתי אותן כמעט כל יום עד שהן התפרקו)
Michal as usual brought a lot of light and energy the moment she entered the room, she’s beautiful and has a great personality. Lital Shemesh, manger of Pinkish, is sweet, nice and serious lady and I liked her immediately. Shachar Rabanne is a very talented stylist, he has a very sharp and observant eyes and able to find great items and fit them to the right person (people would kill for this ability). Diana Susner, is a blogger I’ve been following for few months but I didn’t have the chance to talk to her more than few minutes. Last but not list is Rene Braun, she’s the first blogger I started to follow (for me she’s a celebrity) and I was very excited to meet her, she reminds me of Kirsten Dunst – lovely, beautiful and has a very high sense of fashion!
Later Michal, Rene and I had nice dinner in the area- it was lovely, fun night!
מיכל פורטמן כרגיל הציפה את המקום באנרגיות והאור שלה, היא דמות ססגונית ואני ממש אוהבת את האישיות שלה, ליטל שמש, מנהלת את Pinkish, היא בחורה מתוקה, רצינית ושקטה ששמחתי מאד לפגוש ויש לה אתר מאד מעניין שאני ממליצה לבקר! שחר ראבן (שנזכרתי אחרי חצי שעה שנפגשנו בעבר) הוא סטייליסט עם חדות עין לפרטים הכי קטנים, והוא בעל כישרון מדהים להתאים פריטים שונים לאדם שמולו- רבים היו הורגים בשביל כשרון ועין כאלו. דיאנה סוסנר מהבלוג, שמה עין, לא כל כך הכרתי אותה ולא דיברנו הרבה, אבל אני עוקבת אחריה כבר תקופה ארוכה- היא נתפסת אצלי כמישהי עם סגנון אפל, קצת רוקיסטי עם אמירה בוגרת ומתובלת בהומור על עולם האופנה! ואחרונה חביבה- רנה בראון– מבחינתי היא סלב, היא הבלוגרית הראשונה שהתחלתי לעקוב אחרי ונורא התרגשתי לפגוש ולהכיר אותה- היא מזכירה לי קצת את קריסטין דאנסט- חיננית, יפיפייה עם חוש אופנה וטעם יוקרתי אך לא מתאמץ!
בסוף הערב קפצנו עם מיכל ורנה לארוחת ערב- והתאהבתי בהן עוד יותר!
